Ocean Reef lies about 28 km north-north-west of Perth’s CBD and is part of the City of Joondalup local government area. The 2021 Census recorded about 8,125 people living in Ocean Reef, with a balanced gender distribution and a median age of 42. 

Locals often spend weekend mornings walking the coastal path, enjoying cafés by the beach, or heading off for boating adventures at the marina. If you’re staying for a family day out, the taxi can drop you right at the marina or foreshore so you bypass parking and traffic.

Community events around Ocean Reef are growing as the marina precinct develops, offering more dining and leisure spaces. For early-evening rides there’s a great sunset view over the Indian Ocean — a taxi drop near the foreshore is ideal. Tip: On Saturdays after 3 pm, beach parking fills quickly — booking a taxi in advance can save you the hunt.

Even though some bus routes run in the area, door-to-door service from a taxi is unbeatable when you’re carrying gear, travelling with family, or simply want convenience without waiting.
